You can remove them if installed by as a .deb by running
sudo apt-get remove --purge flashplugin-nonfree
That command will uninstall flash/shockwave. You can also uninstall
plugins by removing the .so file from you profile. Profile will be
located at:
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
alternatives are if you dont feel like doing it from that dir. i will
post where mine are and named, yours will be simular may not be same.:
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem-basic-plugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem-gmp-plugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem-mully-plugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem-narrowspace-plugin.so
I suggest you look into the first one i gave (/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
