Example: (please dont do this but i would like to know if you did when bug was first seen) open firefox 2 than work surf whatever you do close it than next time you open browser is it firefox-3.0 once closed do you than open firefox2 again? this is one thing that we had issue on.
Can you please follow the guide at the following link to start firefox with new profile to see if it helps and let us know.
