At long range, I use the basic stutter step technique, step, stop, shoot, repeat.
At medium range I tend to run and tap fire. (basically spraying, but shooting much slower and controlled shots)
AND I only full on spray if the enemy is exceptionally close to me, like... knifing distance kind of close.
I would recommend doing this as well, but remember to adapt it to your own play-style, oh and don't forget to ALWAYS aim for the head! Good luck in your games!
