I'd like to also point out, this only occurs if the motion jpeg image is embedded in a web page as an img tag. If the image URL is accessed directly, the stream closes when the window is closed.
Steps to reproduce this issue:
- Open a new window in FF3.
- Navigate to a web page in a new window with a motion jpeg image embedded as an img tag.
- Let the motion jpeg image stream for a-few seconds.
- Close the window.
- The motion jpeg stream is not closed.
However, instead if you:
- Open a new window in FF3.
- Navigate directly to the URL for the image, *without* it being embedded in a web page as an img tag.
- Let the motion jpeg image stream for a-few seconds.
- Close the window.
- The motion jpeg stream *will* close.
