Imho quite vital issue. E.g. Fedora 9 now ships with FF3 (beta something) and several people reported being unable to use their Typo3 v4.1.x-backend with that.
Although Typo3 implemented a workaround in Typo3 v4.2.0, I don think that's an ideal basis for discussion ...
