But just to get the information here as well -- I'm on Linux, screen size does not seem to matter and there's nothing subjective about "unbearably slow". Trust me; after letting go of the scrollwheel, it can even take up to 10 real seconds for it to stop scrolling. Smooth scrolling is off.

The webpage I'm mentioning as one of the very clearly affected ones:

http://www.bnrmetal.com/v2/search.php?name=black+sabbath

(all band pages there).

Given that I'm quite decidedly not a web-designer, I suppose there are better candidates for enumerating its properties.

With Firefox 2.0.0.15 (to which I've retreated due to this issue) some laggyness can also be observed there but it's much better; in the sense that I hadn't even noticed it before Firefox 3 appeared and undeniably pointed out the problem

The "on Linux" bit may be relevant or not; I haven't a Windows box to test this with. Box on which I am with Linux is (as said in the other bug) an AMD Duron 1300 which is probably slower than most Firefox 3 users use and might account for me seeing the issue at all sizes and on many sites.

Opera 9.5 is lightning fast on all of them by the way.
