those comments are still not precise enough to be useful, could you describe steps to trigger the bug?

- boot on an hardy CD
- open a command line
- sudo nautilus
- go to some directory
- copy some other directory there
- notice that the permissions are wrong

something along those lines which allow to work on the issue
