I have the same problem.

Instead of using the reset button, I do this: Alt+PrntScr+r, Alt+PrntScr+s, Alt+PrntScr+e, Alt+PrntScr+i, Alt+PrntScr+n, Alt+PrntScr+u, Alt+PrntScr+b These key-presses will reboot the system safely.
