Comment 59 for bug 574152

I have been affected by this bug since I upgraded to 10.04 64bit in May 2010.

The system crashes a couple of times a day. The crash seems to happen at random times, regardless if it is used or not.

Symptoms: sudden, complete freeze
- screen freezes (the mouse cursor does not move, the keyboard cursor does not blink..)
- caps lock, num lock etc. do not change keyboard led status
- the system does not respond to ping
- no traces in logs (that I can see)
- the system does not recover (tried to wait for 24h a couple of times), the only cure in hard reboot
