works great for me - now my system feels slick again :). I checked OpenGL games, video playback and the resizing of windows without any problems.

System is
Lucid,
ATI RadeOn HD mobility 3670 with
fglrx 8.723.1-0ubuntu3
(Lucid stable packages as of writing).
