This is a bit weird as the package contains those files (as is supposed to install them):
:~$ dpkg -L fglrx | grep /etc/ati /etc/ati /etc/ati/signature /etc/ati/atiogl.xml /etc/ati/logo.xbm.example /etc/ati/logo_mask.xbm.example /etc/ati/control /etc/ati/amdpcsdb.default /etc/ati/authatieventsd.sh
Please follow these steps:
1) type the following command: sudo apt-get --purge remove fglrx
and attach the output of the following command: ls -l /etc/ati
2) type the following command: sudo apt-get install fglrx
