Comment 73 for bug 38915

I have had this same issue since I did a fresh install on my current machine when hardy launched. Currently, I'm using Kernel version 2.6.24-18, nVidia driver version 1:96.43.05, and KDE 3.5.9 (and using KDM login manager).

Sorry I don't have any logs to attach, but there's no errors being reported. The system goes to a black screen, and the only input it will accept is CTRL-ALT-DEL to reboot.
