01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI RS880 [Radeon HD 4250]
and I'm unable to use ubuntu any more, at startup I get an error that tells me to use lower resolution but it locks there.
I installed proprietary drivers (tried both with fglrx and fglrx-updates) but when I run aticonfig --initial
I get:
aticonfig: No supported adapters detected
Is there anything I can do to regain use of my pc except reinstall the old version?
