Strange, but i think i am not longer affected by this bug.

Was not having a crash for some time now and wanted to test - so i changed the brightness for about 40-60 seconds and everything worked fine.

Maybe it is the kernel 3.2.0-29-generic-pae (but i did uninstall ulatencyd, too, for the kernel to boot.)

Hope it works for you guys too.
