thanks for the report, it seems that f-spot is not interpreting the path correctly, what if you run the --view mode with : f-spot --view "/home/valjean/Photos/PICHA YA TANZANIA/tanzania kadi ya kwanza/100NIKON/DSCN0167.JPG" ; does it works fine that way? looks like a duplicate. thanks.
