Yep, sounds like an API incompatibility to me. Either patch and recompile all packages against this guy (after doing a version bump on the shared lib soname) or do the same while bumping up to version .20.

FWIW Fedora 14 will be using .20.1 and have a functioning setup of Digikam, and I'm sure other distros have already or will follow.
