this should contain your "local" ip too ( ay domain ip).
I wonder how you ended up missing it as it is added by default by
the configurator. Did you made an exim4-config run ?

Is your ip for your ip for ay domain setup in /etc/hosts ?
/etc/resolv.conf is valid ? (can you ping ay ?)
