Bug Description

I'm using evolution under 12.04.

after inserting a smiley/icon from the smiley-dropdownlist, the smiley gets inserted into the text but after this, mouse and keyboard are blocked - but only in evolution - works still in rest of the system. So evolution has to be killed manually.

not very severe but annoying

Affects me also.
It is a pain, as I do tend to use them, and as you say no input post 12.04
Hope it's fixed soon.

uninstalled evolution and wanted to reinstall, but then package was gone in synaptic... so I did a fresh install of 12.04. smilies were working, until set "encoding utf-8" and "gmail/outlook conform" - after that problem back. no difference now when I reverse the settings for the encoding... not sure if this really caused the problem, but it looks like...

I have my gmail contacts connected with evolution (as google address book). after killing evolution, it cannot connect anymore to gmail bringing the error:

"Unable to open address book
This address book cannot be opened. This either means that an incorrect URI was entered, or the server is unreachable.
Detailed error message: Invalid source"

I'm also affected with this bug, but after closing evolution with xkill, it restored the message including the smiley and all was ok.
