Comment 120 for bug 232340

Back when Netscape and IE came out, did the end user ever get a say in what root certificates were installed by default? Did the end user get to decide whether or not s/he wanted to "trust" Verisign or any other authority?

Myself, I do not recall ever being asked whether or not I wanted to trust a site that used a Verisign certificate.

Is there another place where one can subscribe to updates or find the progress of this inclusion?
