Here's an idea, since any yohoo with $20 bucks can go to Verisign, GeoTrust, etc, and get a valid cert for signing and encrypting e-mails, why not add CACert to at least Thunderbird?
It would be alot easier for someone to pay $19.95 and get a valid cert, than it would be for someone to get at minimum two people to verify face to face their identity.
I mean seriously.
CACert / Thawte / PGP are all free, yet, MORE SECURE.
