after some days of testing, what i've found is, that this bug only occurs when evolution is auto-started with a saved desktop session (ubuntu hardy, gnome). the bug did not occur as of yet if evolution is started manually. this behaviour, along with another evolution auto-start bug i posted (#215643), indicates that evolution may cause several severe problems if auto-started with a saved session. having said that, i consider the above logging being of no real value. if i may help you in debugging in other ways, please let me know!
furthermore, the dummy folder method for resync of the folders described in my post on 2008-04-19, however, does not work properly either under certain circumstances and may cause wanted email (content) to magically disappear into previously deleted messages in the trash folder.
