Is it possible to get local subscription implemented in evolution like
it is there in Kmail, where even if your IMAP does not support
subscription you can filter locally and so you see only locally
subscribed folder. I know this might not be in scope of ubuntu but it
would be good if you can pass on this enhancement to evolution team.

googlemail does not support it but apparently responds with a success
response when the imap client tries to (un)subscribe - so the client can
only suppose it went OK
