Mmmmmm strange... This is what I've done. created new user login, added the drivemount-applet (to check this bug) logout.
ps uxw shows

so nothing about evolution-data-server...
after some minutes I executed again ps uxw and obtained ONLY the bonobo line (so gconfd was down)
then I did my login and the bug was there (the drivemount-applet didn't show)
So are you still sure that the bug is caused by evolution-data-server rather than bonobo-activation-server?
