I just changed the command line of the starter in my panel:

sh -c 'evolution --force-shutdown; evolution 2>&1 | ts >/tmp/evolution.debug'

(ts adds timestamps to the output and is found in package moreutils)

I have to click that one about 8-10 times a day.
