Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

Another instance of not being able to edit pdf forms (form attached).

The issue is similar to this bug, but is not fixed in evince 2.20.0-0ubuntu3:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/evince/+bug/148001

In addition to not being able to fill out the form, the check boxes are rendered incorrectly.

Since this will mostly carry over to the Gutsy Release I filled a bug in the gnome bugzilla:

The problem causing pdf has these properties:
Creater: Adobe Designer 7
Producer: Adobe Designer 7
Format: PDF-1.6
Optimized: No

Another pdf from the same site ( http://www.cseced.org/jobs/images/Application%20for%20Administrative%20Position.pdf )
This one works as expected (can fill out the form and check boxes correctly)
Creator: Acrobat PDFMaker 7.0.7 for Word
Producer: Acrobat Distiller 7.0.5 (Windows)
Format: PDF-1.6
Optimized: Yes

Thanks for the bug report. It's a poppler bug. I've just fixed it in git
(poppler-0.6 and master branches)

Is it possible to re-package poppler to resolve this bug? Or do we wait?

Gutsy is frozen now and it's not likely new CD image will be rolled so it'll have to wait and be uploaded to gutsy-updates or hardy
