Same problem here.

If I open 4-5-6 .pdfs 7-800MB RAM is used up and soon all swap space too - then Evince finally crashes/shuts down by itself.

I wonder how such an annoying bug - which basically render the computer useless in a matter of minutes - in the default viewer for one of the most used document formats can be prioritized as "low".
