Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. Thanks Sebastien, just reported upstream.

Thanks George, I know about it but I can't assign Geeqie to PEF files through Nautilus. See bug #987274

Can we at least do not bind eog to PIF files until problem will be resolved? Opening and not displaying image is worse than just 'don't know how to open PEF files'.
