Comment 6 for bug 172416

It's been 5 years and still no sign of this bug being fixed. The eog project looks nearly dead.
feh doesn't have this bug, is more featureful and runs much much faster than eog.
 $ apt-get install feh
 $ mv image.jpg image.gif
 $ feh -dZF image.gif
