Comment 4 for bug 592859

As a Ubuntu lover, I also have to say the empathy new message notification system is a pretty poor implementation. I personally would like multiple beeps every few mins to say I have new messages.

I would also like the options of automatically opening every new messages that is received (enabled by default if it were my choice, but having the option would suffice).

Currently it's near on impossible to catch new messages unless I keep moving my eyes to the top right hand corner of the screen all the time, Oh wait there I go again.. nope no new messages, lol.
