Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Golly, golly gosh.

When sending text of a certain size, whatever the hardwired limit is in msn i suppose, empathy does not warn you that it will not be sent. Instead it acts as though it has been sent.

There needs to be a pop up box telling people that the message is over x characters and is too long to send. Otherwise people like me think they are having conversations, but are actually talking to nobody at all.

Just to qualify, this bug seems to affect those using XP. I just had a conversation with someone using Apple, without this problem

Thanks for taking time to report this bug. Can you please initiate a chat with a windows user and send a very long text and when he does not receive it please open Help>Debug> there select butterfly and click on the save button to save those logs to a text file and attach that file to this bug report.
