frequent disconnects from jabber server

Binary package hint: empathy

I experience frequent disconnects from jabber server at random intervals (not simultaneous). Nothing but network error is shown in the GUI.

The disconnects are very brief (about 1-2 seconds).

in dmesg i see a lot of:

I get these disconnects too. Pidgin works fine without disconnects and I can exclude network timeouts, because the Jabberserver is on the Localnet.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

we have been wondering if this is still an issue for you. If any one is facing issue. remove all empathy accounts and quit empathy then remove ~/.config/Empathy ~/.gconf/empathy and ~/.mission-control and reboot system and start empathy again and see if that solves the issue. If the problem still exists please use the telepathy ppa https://launchpad.net/~telepathy/+archive/ppa to install latest version of empathy. If that does not solve the problem then we will send this problem to the upstream developers. Thanks in Advance

I have attempted the above suggestions and it has not made a difference and I am still experiencing this issue.

@brian can you please attach the gabble log to this bug report? to do so click on Help>Debug select gabble in the debug window and when jabber disconnects click on the same button of the debug window and attach the gabble log so we can send the bug upstream.

I have sent this upstream with the gabble log.

Can any one please look into the log and see whats the problem. i.e is it a problem at user's end or telepathy please.
