I am seeing the same problem clicking on a link from emacs - where it used to go to the link, now I just get a new window.
Can get some links to work - clicking a link in terminal, and selecting "open link", works OK.
Notice that "/usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop" was just changed, is there a change in option syntax?
