Comment 1 for bug 926925

I just realized that this isn't a recent regression: it was a regression in 11.10. I had previously worked around it via the udev edit described in http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1852013.html ; my workaround was clobbered in an update.

So this is a duplicate of bug 854814.
