Even then DVD movies (purchased) are not recognised - error message that media is unknown. Audio cd's sometimes play. When trying to unmount, I am asked for my password - message given that another user mounted the media.

also bios 1.33 and lucid current on updates on a 5810TZ. The settings in bios don't nor have they ever fixed this problem. only using command line to operate the drive or suspending and resuming to remount it if you hit the button without thinking.
