I just did a manual check of today's image both offline (unpacked the squashf) and online (booted the image) and in both case, the sources.list was as expected:
stgraber@castiana:~/Desktop$ cat squashfs/etc/apt/sources.list deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty main restricted universe deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-security main restricted universe deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates main restricted universe
(and an extra cdrom entry when booted in the live session)
Could it be that the automated testing environment messed it up somehow?
