That depends on your setup.

I don't think it's a good policy to place unattended boot above all things.

For example, I have an encrypted swap device, using a manual key, and I
absolutely do NOT want an unattended boot, that's why I set up a manual key: I
want to get asked each boot/resume.

I believe this is not a weird scenario and the default initramfs should be
able to cope with it, along with the unattended ones.

I'm not saying that Ubuntu should default to such things, or even offer them
in the installer, just that the default initramfs should be able to handle
them.
