I'm sorry that nobody cared about your bug yet. Are you still having problems with this bug? I would need your Ubuntu version to do a test, that I can clarify if it's an Ubuntu only bug or a bug in upstream. Thank you very much!

Thomas, thank you for having a look. I have updated the computer in question to lucid. Fortunately, the disk layout hasn't changed since I reported this bug. I can verify that the bug is still mostly the same. Please let me know if you need any further information.
