I'm getting the same problem, but I don't have access to the dvd anymore, and I don't wanna have to burn it just to get the vobsub file.
I mounted the dvd using Gmount and it got the same error, then I tried with Archive Mounter but couldn't find where was the ISO mounted.
But after copying the .ifo files to tmp/ifo/ it apparently worked, I got a .sub/.idx pair of files but, after trying to play them with the ripped .avi on VLC, I get "VLC can't recognize the input's format:", does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
