I have an interesting problem, which is related to CD/DVD but is not about burning. On my desktop aftr booting and working for a while I start seeing the following errors:

After a while I cannot use any CD o DVD media - they just not register anymore, although I can play DVD when just booted. My dmesg is flooded with messages of the above kind.

However, if I boot from USB (into intrepid, which is also on the hdd) then I never see this kind of messages.
I have 1 SATA disk and 1 ATA disk on a dedicated connection. I have a DVD reader and writer on the same connection.

So now I cannot even start testing CD/DVD burning since even reading does not work. Any ideas?
