Hi krahim,

I had noticed in a previous dmesg output you had posted that it contained the following messages:

However that was from a 2.6.24 kernel. Intrepid, currently contains a much newer 2.6.27 kernel. So I'd be curious to see what the dmesg output is after you attempt to burn a DVD using the 2.6.27 kernel. Additionally, it would be great if you could post the exact commands you use to burn the DVD. You may be right that this is an issue with dvd+rw-tools for you. But I'd like to at least eliminate it possibly being a kernel issue. If you do feel it is an issue with dvd+rw-tools, it would be helpful to the dvd+rw-tools developers if you at least test the lastest version of dvd+rw-tools available in Intrepid. You also mentioned earlier that when you rolled back to an older version of dvd+rw-tools available you were able to burn DVD's? It would be good to specifically note the exact version of the package that worked and the current version that doesn't.

I unfortunately think that even though everyone may be experiencing the same symptom here, the root cause may be different bugs. Regardless, it would be great if those still experiencing issues with the most recent Intrepid release could provide appropriate debug logs and information. That includes package version information, steps to reproduce, debug output, dmesg output, etc. We can then at least focus on opening separate bug reports if necessary etc. Thanks.
