@krahim, you mention you are still using Hardy which is a 2.6.24 based kernel and @DaveAbrahms, you mention you are using an older 2.6.26 Intrepid kernel. Can you guys please test the newer 2.6.27-7.12 kernel for Intrepid? You can verify the kernel version you are running by looking at the output of 'cat /proc/version_signature' . Also, the latest daily images should have this newer kernel -http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . Thanks.
