Similar problem here.

$ growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/hdb=/home/me/iso/not-a-copyrighted-movie.iso

:-( "/dev/hdb=/home/me/iso/not-a-copyrighted-movie.iso": unexpected errno: No such file or directory

At this point you will just have to trust me that this file is present. The command worked fine under Ubuntu 7.10 , but fails under 8.04. I can still boot into my Debian partition to make the dvd with that command.
