Actually I see an exit status 1 instead of 11:

E: linux-image-6.2.0-31-generic: installed linux-image-6.2.0-31-generic package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1

and is the /boot/initrd.img-6.2.0-31 CPIO archive missing afterwards.
Luckily I can fall back to kernel 6.2.0-27.
