I have tested the most recent displayconfig-gtk (0.2+20070905) with IBM R60e today (2007-09-06) [Intel driver]

Problems:
Booting with Dell fp2000 (1600x1200) display connected but not switched on laptop screen is blank. On switching on the Dell external screen the resolution is less than 1600x1200
This, I know is a limitation of the Intel driver, and can be fixed by using command line xrandr to switch on the laptop screen ( xrandr --output LVDS --auto) and set the correct reslution for the internal monitor (xrandr --output VGA --mode 1600x1200 --pos 1024x0)

Attempting to achieve the same using only displayconfig-gtk causes X to fail
