Steve, thanks for bringing this bug to our attention.
There were two avenues I could've gone here: remove from ubuntustudio-audio or actually fix the bug. I decided to go with the latter since a simple "Breaks:" line isn't that hard.
However, I will say that this package is maintained by the Debian Python team which hasn't touched this package in 3 years. In the meantime, it has seen a couple of new upstream releases which is currently at 1.1. Perhaps they are no longer interested in maintaining this package?
Either way, I can fix the bug and will decide later whether or not to keep maintaining the package. If need be, we can remove it.
