Any updates? I'm using Edgy server edition and still see the ...dhclients.eth0.leases: Permission Denied message in my logs and the file is never created.

I'm guessing that my periodic connection outages are a result of this.

I experimented by sudo creating the file and giving 666 permissions to it and the file was successfully written to during a reboot and all seemed well. Once i remove write permissions for users then the file is no longer accessible.

From reading above permissions dont seem to be the root cause of the problem though.
