Comment 61 for bug 19740

My 2 cents to this bug report. I'm having a strange behavior here, fresh Dapper Flight 4 install, also present on my Dapper Flight3:

I have a fixed IP address on my wireless card. But no matter what, it won't work when I boot. I have to do a ifdown eth0, dhclient eth0, interrupt it with a Ctrl+C, then ifup eth0, interrupt it with a Ctrl+C, then my wireless card is connected... I don't know if it's really related to this bug, but I found it very strange that I need a dhclient to make my static connection work... Hope it will help.
