noatime mount option to be optionally added

Binary package hint: devicekit-disks

i have an external usb hard disk with ext4 fs. when inserted it is auto mounted with (rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=devkit). i also want to have "noatime" mount option. how do i add that to "auto mount options"?

I can confirm that this option is really necessary for mounting optical and flash media. Writing access timestamps to optical media (e.g. DVD-RAM) or flash memory slows down read access and leads to high waering.

this is a really-needed feature i think. I cant get the same effect with /etc/fstab. when i use that file for a specific drive, that drive becomes un-automountable. besides i should not need to edit fstab for every single drive i have..
