Comment 1 for bug 147025

i have now downloaded the 7.04 alternate CD in the hope of being able to install with this.
installer crashes at the same point.
on console 4 i now see something i think i saw at 7.10 as well:

apt-install: Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-lookup.c: 232: _dl_lookup_symbol_x: Assertion `version == ((void *)0) || (flags & ˜(DL_LOOKUP_ADD_DEPENDENCY)) == 0`failed!

and as by now i have my macbook online to write this while still seeing the errormsgs on the other computer i ill quote the rest as well:

debootstrap: Segmentation fault
base-installer: error: exiting on error base-installer/debootstrap-failed

that being said i get the same segmentation fault trying to do a
chroot /target
by hand as in 7.10
