quantal netboot hangs starting up partitioner

boots up, asks various questions, downloads various components, says "starting up the partitioner", accesses discs for a couple seconds, screen goes blank purple, and it hangs thus. same on either my laptop or my desktop.

This bug doesn't look like it is specific to the Gnucash package. In the hope that it is a better suited package, I am hereby reassing it to the debian-installer package.

This could be related to bug #1120938. I'm still experimenting with the issue to see if I can find any more information.
